Deirdre spent fifteen years coordinating events and weddings in CA, NY, and PA. She loves working with others to plan big milestone events in their lives. She was drawn to Lamacchia Realty because of their reputation for constant integrity, strong community, positivity, and the way they encourage all their agents to embrace their authenticity. As a mom of two small boys, it’s important for her to model these values in life and in work. She is a certified National Military Relocation Professional and appreciates how Lamacchia offers many resources in serving Active duty Military and Veterans, which is very dear to her heart.

Deirdre has worn many hats over the past twenty years. She graduated with a double major in Psychology and Theater from Fordham University in NYC and then studied abroad in Sydney, Australia for a year. During college, she was fortunate to volunteer with Global Outreach and spent some time in Calcutta, India working with the Sisters of Charity. She then moved on and spent a decade in Los Angeles as an Actress and a Writer. She had a lot of fun working in commercials, voiceovers, episodic TV, and short films. She coordinated hundreds of weddings during her time in LA and even played semi-professional dodgeball at the Staples Center! One of her proudest accomplishments is having completed hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain.
Life is a lot more simple these days. Being back home in Massachusetts with her husband and providing a home for her two boys has put everything into perspective. They spend as much time outdoors as possible, hiking, swimming, and kayaking. She grew up in Cumberland, Rhode Island & Attleboro MA, and returned to Massachusetts in 2018.

What made you want to join Lamacchia Realty?

“I was first drawn to the sheer happiness of every employee I spoke with. I soon realized there seemed to be a culture of kindness, support, and excitement. When I dug deeper and learned about the company’s strong sense of integrity and incredible success in their domain, I stopped looking elsewhere…and I’ve never looked back. I am so happy I chose Lamacchia.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

“My favorite way to relax is a brisk walk outside while listening to podcasts. It’s a great way to revisit and discover the writers, comics, bloggers, Spanish-speakers, and history-makers that are putting their marks on the world right now.”

Do you have a favorite charity?

“BetheMatch (bethematch.org) is a meaningful organization for my family. My incredible sister-in-law recently lost a fifteen-year battle with cancer. However, she was able to live ten years past her original prognosis because of a successful bone marrow transplant. She always strongly supported this organization & we will continue to do so in her honor as well.”

What is your favorite thing about your job?

“I love meeting people, finding out what they need, and making things happen for them. There are so many details to collect and emotions to navigate in buying and selling homes. I feel blessed to offer market expertise & a steady hand to my clients throughout this process.”

Deirdre was passionate about helping me buy a home that matched my family's wishlist. She's a good listener and picked up on the small details that meant so much when it came to the whole picture of finding the right home. She has solid determination to make it happen, and I like her confidence.
