Growing up, Michelle admired her stepdad’s drawing table and seeing all the houses come to life on his job sites. She and her siblings used to love playing hide-and-seek in all the homes and they would always ask, “can we build something?” Michelle remembers taking scrap wood and using her own toolset to build random things here and there.
Throughout high school, Michelle would babysit for local families and decided she wanted to become a teacher. Michelle went to college and earned a master’s degree in Special Education for Students with Moderate Disabilities and got an endorsement for Sheltered English Immersion as well as several certifications that suited the field. She worked in several schools across MA with students ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Michelle taught for over 10 years and knew she wanted to start her own family soon and would need a more flexible schedule. That’s when she decided it was time for something new.
At this point, Michelle did not want to go back to college for another degree, so she thought to herself, “what is something I am very familiar with and have always had a passion for?” The answer was clear – real estate! Home designing, building, and selling had been in the background of her entire life. She loved it, understood most of it, and had gone through the buy/refi/sell process herself. Michelle knew this was the path she wanted to follow for her next journey toward a new career.
In 2021 Michelle left the world of education and took the real estate course. Shortly after, she joined Lamacchia Realty where she continued to train every week to stay on top of the local markets and trends.
Real Estate has been part of Michelle’s life for as long as she can remember. Now that she is officially working in the field, she is proud to say that she loves her job. Sure, there can be good days and bad days. Real estate never sleeps so she sometimes feels like she is always on the clock. But, it truly doesn’t feel like work when you love what you do. Michelle enjoys meeting new people, hearing what makes a house feel like home to them, and helping them navigate the process of their own real estate journey.
Outside of Real Estate, Michelle loves to travel. She has 4 rescue dogs from all over the world. One of them she brought home with her from Aruba, where she volunteered with the local foundations to help save the street dogs. These dogs are called Cunucus and they are known for being really high jumpers! In 2022 Michelle moved to Quincy, MA and she is confident this is her forever home; she and her family love it here. In 2023 Michelle had her first baby, Remington, who is a dream come true. It is now 2024 and Michelle is looking forward to watching her son and pups grow, renovating her home, working with current clients, and meeting new clients.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
“I love animals; I have 4 rescue pups! I enjoy traveling and spending time with family. I travel to Aruba annually and help the local rescue shelters by being a flight volunteer.”
What is your favorite thing about your job?
“When I was teaching, I loved getting to know the students on a personal level and bonding with them. I always tried to have something personal with each student; whether it be a handshake, a joke, a 1:1 lunch, my students and I were always laughing while learning.”
Do you have any pets?
“I have 4 rescue dogs.”
Do you have a favorite charity?
“Luna Foundation in Aruba.”
What are your favorite sports, and sports teams?
“I LOVE watching football. I don’t play sports but I’ve forced myself to become a runner because I’ve always hated it so much. I challenged myself and ran a half marathon in the fall and it was so hard… even with all the training. Maybe I just wasn’t made to be a runner. Short legs over here!!”
