Lamacchia Realty Opens in Rhode Island with Tirrell Realty
July 22, 2025 – Lamacchia Realty is thrilled to announce that they have opened a branch location in East Providence, Rhode Island, with the acquisition of Tirrell Realty. Tirrell Realty is a well-respected brokerage in Riverside, Rhode Island, previously a Weichert Franchise for 14 years, which serves all of greater Providence, including East Providence, East Bay markets, and the south coast of Massachusetts. Lamacchia Realty has been serving buyers and sellers in Rhode Island since 2011 and has increased its market share in Rhode Island from their Easton, Fall River, New Bedford, Seekonk and other Southern Massachusetts based offices, but this is their first branch in the state. Anthony Lamacchia and the leadership team of Lamacchia Realty are thrilled to be opening in the Providence market with this well-respected brokerage.

Phillip Tirrell opened Tirrell Realty in 2005 and the brokerage has been regarded as a trustworthy local agency with a dedicated roster of expert REALTORS®. Phil has had a longstanding relationship with various members of Lamacchia Realty including Ron Rusin, and Bernie Hassan.
Licensed in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, Phil Tirrell has been licensed since 1979 and brings over four decades of experience to the real estate market. Throughout his career, he has successfully navigated a wide range of market trends and has consistently ranked as a top producer, earning numerous awards as a Team Leader. With the sale of his brokerage to Lamacchia Realty, Phil will continue on as a leader in the office while actively working with buyers and sellers.
Phil is a long-time member of the East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce, having served for 20 years, including as a past Chairperson. Deeply committed to giving back to the community, he hosts an annual blood drive at the office with the Blood Mobile, supports Hope and Faith—a local charity that provides clothing to families in need—and is also a proud supporter of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
