SAND SCULPTURE CLASSIC

2025 Marks the 25th anniversary of this family friendly event taking place June 12-14 along the boardwalk of Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. Master sculptors from around the world will work to create unimaginable works of art from 200 tons of sand!

Vote – that’s right, vote for the People’s Choice Award – cast your vote on Saturday, June 14th from 1-3PM at the event. 

Awards Ceremony & Fireworks – More than just a sand sculpting event, there will be an awards ceremony at 7:30PM after the votes are tallied and a spectacular fireworks display will take place at 9:30PM 

Nighttime Illumination – The sand sculptures will be on display through June 23rd and will be beautifully lit in the evening hours.

Visiting Hampton Beach

Parking can be tricky during weekends and busy beach days, however there are several public parking lots, the best bet is to arrive early to get a good spot. There are also private paid lots throughout the area and several hotels offer walking-distance access. 

Before the contest starts there is lots of activity to see in preparation for the contest. From June 6-11, the additional sand arrives and the sponsor site is created, additionally, the  Masters start the ‘pounding up’ of the sand before the sculpting starts Thursday, June 12.  

While the competition takes place June 12-14th – the sculptures are on display through June 23rd – this makes it easier to find time to see them. Plan an evening stroll and see them illuminated!
