MOSELEY WOODS - CELEBRATION OF THE YOUNG CHILD

Looking for a fun and active family activity that everyone can enjoy?

Join local families on Sunday, April 6th for the Celebration of the Young Child at Moseley Woods, 14 Spofford Street, Newburyport, MA from 10:00-Noon (Rain Date is 4/13). Parking is limited within Moseley woods, however, there is plenty of off-street parking on side streets.

This fun, free event is open to all families and will feature:

  • Story Walk Adventure
  • Animal Interactions: ponies, bunnies and therapy dogs
  • Horse Powered Reading
  • Sensory Bin Station
  • Crafting: hat and crown making
  • Book Swap: bring a used book and take a book home
  • Parade at 11:30

About Moseley Woods

Moseley Woods is the perfect backdrop to celebrate young children, their families and the early childhood programs that support them. A family friendly, 16-acre public park, Moseley Woods, hosts well maintained trails, a playground, spacious pavilion, picnic tables and even a designated off-leash area to bring your four legged family members. Nestled along the scenic Merrimack River Moseley Woods has spectacular views and is a great place to connect with nature.

Family Connections of Newbury, Rowley, Salisbury, Newburyport, West Newbury, Groveland, Merrimac, Amesbury & Haverhill is a Massachusetts Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) program serving families with children from birth through school age. We provide access to comprehensive services, child development information and educational opportunities to support you in your role as your child’s first teacher. ​
